From the Beginning

From the Beginning is a 1968 publication written by Karl Katz, P.P Kahane, and Magen Broshi, widely exploring the archive and history of the permanent archaeology and art collection at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
I use the 268 pages of the book as raw materials for creating drawings, artifacts and objects, while deliberately ignoring the histories and linear timeline the book proposes, appropriating it’s text and images as props for a visual investigation, with imagined beginnings.
